The Big Leap Forward

A leap of faith flows one direction like a river.

Have you ever jumped from rock to rock in a mountain brook

It’s a thrill to take risks, to challenge yourself

In the back drop of nature and with the sound of the water flowing the only way it knows

I was on a smaller rock, in the middle of the brook, looking for my next move

It would take a great leap but I could make it

To a large boulder, the biggest around but far from the rest

But once that leap is made, get comfortable

Because you can’t make the same gigantic leap

Back to the little rock

There is not enough footing there

It’s a one way road forward
